1962 Fender Jaguar Shoreline Gold
Incredibly cool and rare early Fender Jaguar in custom color Shoreline Gold — one of the most striking finishes of the era. This is a first-year production Jaguar, featuring all the early specs including a slab board neck and flat pole pickups, and it’s finished in a color rarely seen on this model. A killer sounding and playing guitar, with a fantastic story.
This Jaguar was bought new and played by 1960s American pop star Bobby Rydell, and it has his signature on the back of the headstock. Later, it spent years in the famous warehouse of Norman Harris of Norman’s Rare Guitars.
The neck is dated May 1962, the pots are dated week 32 of 1962, and the body is stamped October 1962. The guitar is all-original and in good condition. It still retains its original matching hang tag and cleaning cloth, making this not just a fantastic player, but also a piece of Fender and pop music history.
