1965 Gibson Firebird III Non -Reverse
In early 1965, Gibson recognized that many guitarists still preferred classic designs, so they changed the first Firebird design to the "non-reverse" model. This version kept the Firebird's distinctive character while offering a more traditional shape that appealed to a wider audience.
This Bird is all original and in good condition. It has a very nice aging / patina all over the guitar. The pick guard show some signs of shrinkage, with a some cracks near 3 screws, but it remains intact. All parts and electronics are original. The pots are dated 'week 39 of 1965'. It's a great playing guitar, the neck of this guitar is comfortable to play, with a 40mm nut width. The trio of P90 pickups deliver a distinctive, bluesy tone that's both well-balanced and clear.
