Early 1965 Fender Super Reverb AB763 "Blackface" – All Original Speakers, Recently Serviced
Here’s a beautiful example of an early 1965 Fender Super Reverb – one of the most iconic and best-sounding amps Fender ever made. This is the highly sought-after AB763 “Blackface” circuit, with tube chart date code OA = January 1965, and original Fender CTS 10” speakers all dated to the 43rd week of 1964 (code 137-4-43).
The amp is in very good overall condition, and mostly original. All four Fender-labeled CTS speakers are intact and sound fantastic. The amp has been professionally serviced to ensure reliability – with some minor component changes like a few caps and resistors, and a 3-prong power cord was installed for safety reasons. Everything else remains correct, including the transformers, chassis, and cabinet.
Classic lush reverb and rich vibrato, perfect breakup, and that unmistakable sparkle and punch that made the Super Reverb the go-to amp for countless blues, rock, and soul guitarists.
A killer amp for players and collectors alike – clean, original where it matters, and ready to play.
